Darul Hasanath Academy

All activity to please almighty Allah coupled with good intention and which is according to the methodology prescribed by the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAS) is sure to receive the help of Allah and will eventually succeed. it is  with these humble intentions  that the help of Allah and will eventually succeed. It is with these humble intentions that the Late Sheik Abul Hassen started Islamic Dawah activities in the 1950’s. The Muslim Ladies Arabic College- Kal Eliya, SriLanka, which today has 800 students of which around 300 are orphans, is a striking example.

Pursuant to the success of his Dawah activities the late Sheik Abdul Hassen started educating males on a very modest scale at Masjid Al-Rahma in1977, Afterwards, in 1993 he envisaged to establish The Dharul Hasanath on a large0, more organized and modern foundation. With his new idea he traveled to Middle East to inform his friends and well wishers, who encourage him and received him well.

A land covering 3.5 hectares in Warakapola (50 kilometers from Colombo) was selected to accommodate the Academy. An administration office was the first building to constructed, followed by the Masjid and the class block.

The late Sheik Abdul Hassen worked untiringly till his death on the 29^th of March 1997at the age of 94. Motivated by his example we continued the development work with a library, hostel remises and the water supply system. Now all these projects have been completed and the finishing touches are being done at the  time of writing.

With the infrastructure almost complete, we are to commence our educational programs in the near future, may Almighty Allah Help us with this task.
